Welcome to MontAmis
Living naturism together, responsibly and in harmony with nature
A grown, living community
Welcome to MontAmis
MontAmis was born from a deep connection to the Centre Hélio Marin de Montalivet (CHM) – a unique place that has stood since 1950 for communally lived naturism, respect for nature, and a distinctive cultural togetherness.
This place is more than a holiday destination. It is a living space, a place of encounter, and the expression of a grown, vibrant community.
The CHM was created to live naturism together, responsibly and in harmony with the environment – embedded in the commune of Vendays-Montalivet and driven by the commitment to protect this special place permanently and preserve it for future generations.
Community over individual interests
MontAmis brings together all those who use, inhabit and help shape the CHM: holidaymakers and day visitors, residents, owners of bungalows, mobile homes and caravans, as well as employees, volunteers and those working here professionally.
We are united by the conviction that the protection, development and future of the CHM can only be achieved together – in the interest of the community and not of individual actors.
The identity of the CHM is the result of over 75 years of commitment:
from people who built, maintained, funded and culturally shaped this place. It is this historical, collective and ongoing participation that makes up the value and uniqueness of the CHM.
Democracy, Transparency and Participation
In a constitutional state, there can be no democratic vacuum – and the same applies to the CHM.
Anyone who uses the CHM or works there has the right to:
- Information
- A voice and the ability to make proposals
- Representation
- Participation
- Equal co-determination and co-administration
MontAmis sees itself as a platform to make these rights visible, bring them together and represent them on a lasting basis – open, diverse and representative of the CHM community as a whole.
Our Work and Our Conviction
On the basis of several years of careful study of all contracts, regulations and historical documents relevant to the CHM, we have reached the conclusion that the CHM belongs collectively to the owners of the bungalows and mobile homes.
From this conviction, we are committed to:
- Legal certainty and transparency
- The protection of collective rights of use and participation
- An administration committed to the common good
- The preservation of the naturist and cultural identity of the CHM
Our work is long-term in nature. It is not guided by individual disputes or proceedings, but by the goal of anchoring responsibility for the CHM where it has historically, legally and collectively grown.
